Algorithm: Bruteforce. Minimize heterogeneity.

Animals were assigned in each group using Randmice (https://randmice.com) on the basis of minimizing the heterogeneity between the groups. The algorithm randomly distribute all animals between the different groups and calculates the mean of each covariates and minimize the difference between the maximum and the minimum of all groups. Between 106 to 108 iterations can be performed to find the optimum.
